Known as the Dynamic Sector Wire, this is specifically designed to help deflect darts into the board rather than on the floor. Or in the side of your head. As a result, you can expect to achieve better scores with it too, and save your back from all that bending down. In other words, it’s a win-win.
While the thinness of the wire means you’d have to work hard for a bounce out, on the downside, it does tend to take a little longer to heal than some other boards. Still, this is a minor gripe, and one that shouldn’t really become a worry unless you’re intent on giving it the kind of hammering you’d need to qualify for the PDC World Championship.
